Bike the City with Far East Malls

A Roadmap for the Biking Enthusiasts 

 

Shopping is not the only cardio exercise you can get when visiting Far East Malls! Here is the ultimate guide to weaving in and out of the malls on curated cycling trails that stretch a total of 12km on your next shopping spree. 

Explore as many as six malls on two wheels with your fellow cycling buddies - we’ve got the route and pit stops all planned out for you! 

 

Trail 1: Woods Square to HillV2

Start your cycling adventure from Woods Square. A 40 minutes journey that spans approximately 12.1km, ride off from Woods Square and cycle down to Woodlands Avenue 3 before changing to Woodlands Road. 

Before you begin, consider starting your day with a toast for some fun! Sneak in a quick bite and enjoy the 1-for-1 Kaya Butter Toast Set / Honey Butter French Toast Set (U.P. $5.30 - $5.50 each) at Fun Toast #B2-11, Woods Square before setting off on your cycling adventure.  

 

Once you’re on Woodlands Road, you can go straight down to Bukit Panjang, where you will see Junction 10 on your right. Cycle down another 1.5km where you turn right on Hillview Road. Once you’ve reached the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and you’ve arrived at HillV2.

Trail 2: HillV2 to West Coast Plaza 

Once you’re ready to go, continue your trail down South on Hillview Avenue towards Bukit Batok/Glendale Park Rd where you can also ride on the Hillview Park Connector. Your cycle will be about 7.8km and 26 minutes away. 

Continue straight through Bukit Batok Street 25 before sliding right to Toh Tuck Avenue and after 700m on your left to Commonwealth Avenue V. Head straight for about 2km before turning right on Clementi Avenue 2 and onto the flyover. 

Once you’ve turned left at West Coast Road, your destination is approximately 400m away on your left, and you’ve arrived at West Coast Plaza - welcome to the west side of Singapore!

Trail 3: West Coast Plaza to Clarke Quay Central

Your next cycle is about 11.6km and 39 minutes away to Clarke Quay Central. Simply cycle through Clementi Woods Park and down to Clementi Road and Dover Avenue past Singapore Polytechnic. 

Take a right turn down Commonwealth Avenue W, where you will cycle straight and pass areas like Holland Village, Buona Vista and Commonwealth. Once you’re nearing Queenstown MRT, turn right onto Alexandra Road and Havelock Road, where you will cycle past The Warehouse Hotel.

You’re about a 10 minute cycle away once you see Robertson Quay in view. Cycle along Alkaff Quay, where you will pass Riverside Point before arriving at Clarke Quay Central. Park your bike to enjoy a relaxing stroll through the air-conditioned halls of Riverside Point.

Alternatively, head straight towards Clarke Quay Central to enjoy a refreshing deal with 1-for-1 Snow Fungus Papaya (U.P. $5.90 each) at Ya Kun Kaya Toast #01-31.

Trail 4: Clarke Quay Central to Far East Square

Your next cycle will be easy as a breeze with it being just 5 minutes away and only 1.1km. Continue your route from Clarke Quay Central’s Taxi Stand and head Northeast towards New Bridge Road before turning left on Upper Pickering Road when you see Park Royal Collection Pickering hotel in view. 

Head down straight for 200m before turning right on China Street and you have arrived at Far East Square!

Trail 5: Far East Square to Mess Hall at Sentosa 

Here’s your final trail to your last location which is around 22 minutes and 6.4km away! Starting from Cross Street, before turning left on South Bridge Road, where you will cycle across Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar Road. 

Head straight down to Keppel Viaduct and Keppel Road, along West Coast Highway before turning left onto Sentosa Gateway when you see VivoCity. 

Cycle on the designated cycling track along the Sentosa Gateway beneath the monorail line in the initial stretch of the track. Watch out for the Sentosa Express when it looms over you as it transports visitors in to Sentosa.

Continue straight down Gateway Avenue before taking the 2nd exit onto Artillery Ave at the roundabout. Turn left onto 10 Artillery Ave and you will see Mess Hall at Sentosa!
