Guilt Free Food

Our 13th baker at Baker X @ Orchard Central is Guilt Free Food, operating from 10 to 23 October 2022. We spoke to founder Joyce to find out more about her baking journey. 

Joyce loves desserts and even more so when they are guilt-free. Being a mother of two daughters, she makes it a priority to feed them ‘real’ food that are free from chemicals. To her, eating should be pleasurable, and one should not feel guilty about enjoying their food. 

Joyce started Guilt Free Food to share the whole food that her family loves with those that also enjoys a guilt-free snack! Guilt Free Food uses bold and unconventional ingredients such as Vegemite, Marmite, Miso and kombu. Their bakes are always freshly baked from scratch with quality ingredients in small batches – rustic yet refined.

 

Being a part of Baker X @ Orchard Central

Joyce could not turn down the opportunity that will allow her to run a café and possibly scale up her home baking business. After being retrenched from a head of Asia Pacific marketing role and being unemployed for a little over a year, it was a now or never project that she had to take up. She hopes that this project will allow her to learn to make better decisions when she’s ready to eventually scale up to a café setting.

Guilt Free Food will be offering their star products, from their signature cinnamon rolls to limited editions flavours specially brought back for Baker X.

Look forward to their signature rolls in a myriad of flavours, choose from Classic Glaze, Salted Caramel, Lemon Cream Cheese, Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter Choc, Triple Chocolate, Vegemite/Marmite cheesymites, Miso Kombu, or Matcha.

They will also be offering jumbo sized cookies in Dark Choc Almond and Miso White Choc with Macadamia and Cranberries flavours.

Gluten-free bakes will also be available! Cinnamon Rolls in Classic Glaze and Salted Caramel flavours, Matcha Tri-Choc Mochi Muffins, and Vegan Choc Walnut Cookies. What a spread!

Baker X @ Orchard Central is a project to give budding home-baking entrepreneurs the opportunity to trial with a physical outlet and scale their business.

 

Through this initiative, Far East Organization aims to encourage the entry of new brands and enhance the business ecosystem in Singapore by providing customers with more choices and encouraging greater diversity.

 

Bakers work in a fully equipped baking studio and café, a physical space provided to them at no cost, over a period of 2 to 6 weeks to bake and sell.
